Descripiton

This strike exploits an authentication bypass vulnerability in Quest NetVault Backup. The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of the checksession parameter in multipart HTTP requests. Successful exploitation may result in successsful bypass of the authentication mechanism. This rule supports to defend the A6: Vulnerable and Outdated Components of OWASP Top 10 - 2021.
