Descripiton

ElasticSearch is a search engine based on Lucene, and is developed in Java. It provides a distributed, multitenant-capable full-text search engine with an HTTP Web interface and schema-free JSON documents. The scripting engine in ElasticSearch allows remote attackers to bypass the sandbox protection mechanism and execute arbitrary SHELL commands via a crafted scripr. This rule supports to defend the A6: Vulnerable and Outdated Components of OWASP Top 10 - 2021.
