Descripiton

Light HTTPd is an open-source Web server optimized for speed-critical environments while remaining standard-compliant, secure and flexible. mod_userdir in lighttpd before 1.4.20, when a case-insensitive operating system or file system is used, performs case-sensitive comparisions on filename components in configuration options, which might allow remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions. This rule supports to defend the A6: Vulnerable and Outdated Components, A1: Broken Access Control and A2: Cryptgraphic Failures of OWASP Top 10 - 2021.
