Description: Both Atlassian JIRA Server and Atlassian JIRA Data Center are products of Atlassian Corporation, an Australian company. Atlassian JIRA Server is the server edition of an issue tracking and management system. This system is mainly used for tracking and managing various issues and defects in work. Atlassian JIRA Data Center is the data center edition of Atlassian JIRA. Affected versions of Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center allow an unauthenticated user to enumerate users via an Information Disclosure vulnerability in the QueryComponentRendererValue!Default.jspa endpoint.
Impact: Successful exploitation allows an attacker to enumerate valid usernames in the JIRA system, which can be used for reconnaissance and facilitate further attacks such as brute force attacks, credential stuffing, or social engineering. This information disclosure can significantly increase the risk of successful account compromise.
