Description: Micro Focus Rumba is a terminal simulation solution developed by Micro Focus in the UK, using UI technology. This solution supports users to access core applications from the desktop, web, and mobile devices. There is a stack based buffer overflow vulnerability in the 'PlayMacro' function in the WdMacCtl. ocx file of Micro Focus Rumba 9.3 HF before 11997 9. x and 9.4 HF before 12815 before 9.4. x. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by executing arbitrary code with a longer MacroName parameter.
Impact: An attacker can execute arbitrary code in the context of the vulnerable system. Failed exploit may cause denial-of-service attack.
